Job Description:

Pitney Bowes is seeking an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician, 2nd Shift in our Levittown, Pennsylvania Presort Services facility. There are 2 slots for this job.

The hourly pay rate is $27 with a $1 per hour shift differential.

Your 2nd Shift work schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday from 2:45PM - 11:15PM EST.

You are a performance-driven contributor who can effectively troubleshoot, repair, or diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues on industrial equipment. You are a self-motivated individual who seeks opportunities to improve current practices, increasing efficiency and reducing downtime of industrial mail sorting equipment.

You will:

1. Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other industrial types of electromechanical production equipment (Mail Sorters/Printers).
2. Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
3. Complete preventative maintenance according to industry quality standards.
4. Respond to equipment breakdown or emergency situations.
5. Utilize inventory, PM schedule, and work order systems to effectively reduce downtime.
6. Maintain the spare parts/supply inventory utilizing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
7. Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
8. Utilize a tablet to track assigned work, machine downtime, and inventory used in repair.
9. Perform all additional duties as required.

Your background as an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician includes:

• Current work experience at Pitney Bowes as an onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician.
• 2-6 years’ direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong familiarity servicing conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other industrial types of electromechanical production equipment.
• Experience using a multi-meter or other electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to automated equipment operation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting equipment problems, establishing priorities, and working under deadlines.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations.
• The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.
