Hometown Food Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Toledo, OH facility. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on processing, packaging, and facility equipment on second and third shifts.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and the ability to read schematics. Safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement are emphasized in daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and technical training preferred.
• 2–5 years maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Machinist, welding, light fabrication, or electrical skills are a plus.
• Leadership, communication, organization, and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance to maximize production, safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Generate work orders and initiate requests when needed.
• Collaborate with operators, line leaders, and maintenance lead for issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and update programs as required.
• Participate in training to improve technical skills and teamwork.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis for major downtime.
• Attend team and plant meetings and follow safety rules.
• Troubleshoot, repair to spec, and read electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Safely operate maintenance tools and test equipment.
• Read electrical/mechanical drawings and understand specs.
