Job summary

Enviva is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on critical pellet mill equipment in a 24/7 production setting. You will diagnose issues, service motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and related machinery while adhering to safety and environmental guidelines.

Applicants should have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, ability to read schematics, and experience with hydraulics, lubrication and maintenance software.

Qualifications

• Must follow OSHA and Enviva safety standards.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders; bring own basic tools.
• Experience with preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance, troubleshooting and servicing mobile/heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, lubrication and mechanical equipment; understands lubes and their applications.
• Able to analyze process flow to identify issues.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, cut, thread, and lay pipes; assist in repair, installation, maintenance of equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair motors, fans, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps and other pellet mill equipment.
• Operate and maintain tools and machines; perform preventive maintenance and lubrication as scheduled.
• Inspect equipment and document conditions; maintain accurate records.
• Analyze equipment performance and propose changes to improve throughput and reliability.
• Perform rigging and follow safety procedures; operate mobile equipment as needed.
• Adhere to all environmental, health and safety guidelines.
