Job summary

Fastenal Manufacturing in Wallingford, CT is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Maintenance team member to keep equipment and facilities in good running order. You will maintain, repair and ensure safe operation of building systems and equipment, with a potential flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals.

Responsibilities include general maintenance, inspections, interior/exterior upkeep and grounds care, plus ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Valid driver's license with eligibility for company vehicle.
At least 2 years of related work experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong math aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Work independently and in a team environment.
Willingness to work at heights exceeding 25 feet.
Pass the required drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

Perform general building maintenance and repair using hand tools and power tools.
Inspect and maintain interior and exterior structures (walls, roofs, windows, doors, foundation).
Maintain interior spaces (paint, clean floors, windows, restrooms).
Maintain exterior grounds by landscaping and daily upkeep.
Repair plumbing, electrical outlets, light fixtures and safety systems.
Schedule and track maintenance tasks and work orders to completion.
