Job summary

Fastenal Manufacturing in Wallingford, CT is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Maintenance team member to keep equipment and facilities in good running order. Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 6:00am - 2:30pm

OVERVIEW:

Working as a Full-time Manufacturing Maintenance team member, you will be directly responsible for keeping Fastenal Manufacturing's equipment and facility in good running order. Manufacturing Maintenance team members are responsible for maintaining, repairing and ensuring the safe operation of building systems and equipment. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform general building maintenance and repair using hand tools and power tools
• Inspect and maintain both interior and exterior structures, including walls, roofs, windows, doors and foundation
• Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of interior of facility by painting, cleaning floors, windows, restrooms and other interior spaces
• Maintain all exterior grounds by landscaping and performing daily upkeep
• Repair plumbing systems, electrical outlets, light fixtures and safety systems
• Schedule and track maintenance tasks and work orders to completion

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Possess at least 2 years of related work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work at heights exceeding 25 feet

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs

COMPENSATION:

The base pay range for this position is $49,920 - 95,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
