Job summary

UFP Technologies in Chicopee, MA is seeking a qualified Machine Maintenance Technician for 1st and 2nd shifts. You will install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment, supporting safety, predictive and productive maintenance programs to meet site goals.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, reading schematics, configuring machine setups, and documenting activities. The role requires 1–3 years in manufacturing maintenance and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational school equivalent.
• 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Trade or vocational certifications preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Safety practices including LOTO and machine guarding.
• Good math and problem-solving skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
• Read electrical schematics, manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Perform repairs during production and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Log maintenance actions in the system and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain a clean, 5S-compliant work area and organize tools.
