Job summary

UFP Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment at our Chicopee, MA facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, read electrical schematics, and work with a team to resolve complex issues.

Two shifts are available (7:00AM–3:30PM and 3:45PM–12:15AM). The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience; certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational school equivalent.
• 1-3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Trade or vocational certifications preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Basic knowledge in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatics.
• Knowledge of safe work practices including LOTO.
• Good math and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with hydraulic & pneumatic machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Read electrical schematics, manuals, and work orders for maintenance tasks.
• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on machines and plant facilities.
• Carry out emergency and unscheduled repairs during production.
• Use hand/power tools, meters and gauges to complete tasks.
• Document maintenance activities in logs and systems.
• Ensure 5S-compliant, clean and organized work area.
