Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation in Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician–In-Training to learn preventive maintenance and repair of packaging equipment and facilities. The role starts with an 8-hour day shift during training and transitions to a 12-hour rotating schedule on a 1-3-3 rotation.

You will complete a 60-week training program, demonstrate troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and control systems, and maintain a safe, organized plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Have been employed with Avery Dennison for at least 12 months.
• Trade School Certification (or Associates) in Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent journeyman's level training and experience is a plus.
• Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.

Responsibilities

• Locate and diagnose failures, replace defective components, and perform basic troubleshooting using standard equipment, drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
• Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyors, and production machines.
• Install, wire, test and maintain electrical systems and controls; troubleshoot motor and control circuits.
• Provide support to maintenance team and assist engineers with problem solving and projects.
