Job summary

Staffmark Group in Stanton, CA is seeking a skilled Grinder to set up and operate precision cylindrical grinding machines to meet customer specifications. You will grind metal parts and interpret blueprints, tech sheets, and purchase orders to ensure accurate dimensions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong basic math and English reading comprehension.
• Ability to read blueprints, tech sheets, and purchase orders.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with grinding machines preferred (Cincinnati Centerless Grinder, CNC Studer, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and follow structured workflows and priorities.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Responsibilities

• Perform precision measurement and inspection using micrometers, height gauges, and other tools.
• Input and maintain quality data within SPC systems.
• Adjust machine setups and operations to improve performance and meet production goals.
• Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance needs with leads or senior staff.
• Follow scheduled workflow priorities and communicate any production deviations.
• Adhere to all safety standards and operational procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Shift: 2:30 PM-11 PM | Monday-Friday
