Qualifications

• 1-2 years of machining, manufacturing or machine shop experience required.
• Experience operating manual lathes, mills, grinders or similar equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, operation sheets, and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, indicators, and calipers.
• Knowledge of machine setup, tooling, fixtures, clamps, and workholding devices.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment.
• Manufacture precision parts to customer specifications and tight tolerances.
• Align and secure materials using fixtures, clamps, shuttles, and tooling.
• Set up equipment using precision measuring devices and general shop tools.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, indicators, and other measuring equipment.
• Verify dimensions and quality standards by reviewing blueprints and operation sheets.
• Remove burrs and sharp edges using hand tools, air grinders, and manual finishing equipment.
• Maintain accurate production logs, machining records, and inspection documentation.
• Complete travelers, deviation tickets, and other required paperwork.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years of machining, manufacturing, or machine shop experience required


• Experience operating manual lathes, mills, grinders, or similar equipment


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, operation sheets, and technical drawings


• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, indicators, and calipers


• Knowledge of machine setup, tooling, fixtures, clamps, and workholding devices


• Prior aerospace manufacturing experience preferred


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts

Physical Capabilities

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds


• Must be able to stand for extended periods throughout the shift


• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks


• Ability to safely operate machining equipment and hand tools
