Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance, including observing devices in operation to locate root causes, dismantling devices, examining parts for imperfections, adjusting functional parts, repairing or replacing defective parts, testing device performance, and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.
2. Identifies and sources parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary.
3. Independently performs maintenance according to industry standards.
4. Sets up and operates multiple machining tools such as lathe, drill press, grinder, and may perform welding tasks.
5. Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards.
6. Drives and participates in continuous improvement activities, focusing on processes, results, and cost savings.
7. Updates records and reviews CMMS history.
8. Troubleshoots and analyzes control systems to resolve software/hardware and configuration issues.
9. Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
10. Provides assistance to lower-level technicians and leads small teams, performing advanced functions as part of training and development.
11. Completes on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career growth.
12. Follows all safety policies, rules, regulations, and guidelines, maintaining situational awareness to identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:

1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
2. Associate degree with a technical focus and 3 years of related experience, or 5 years of related industry experience, or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
3. Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems, with the ability to analyze problems and perform repairs.
4. Ability to use basic and specialized hand tools.
5. May require travel.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Employees must regularly stand, walk, handle or feel with hands/fingers, reach with arms, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate verbally. Occasionally, sitting and lifting over 50 pounds is required. Visual acuity is necessary. The work environment is typically a loud factory setting, potentially exposed to hazardous materials, slippery floors, and outside weather conditions, with risks such as electrical shock.

ATS offers competitive pay, with salaries ranging from $28.15 to $35.99 USD, based on factors like education, experience, and location.
