Manner Polymers, Inc. in Mount Vernon, IL is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine activities across the facility, focusing on preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and requires hands-on expertise with industrial equipment in a fast-paced setting. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical and electrical skills, pneumatic experience, and familiarity with CMMS documentation.

Competenze

• 5 years of minimum industrial manufacturing experience.
• Advanced trades experience (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.).
• Excellent at troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment control systems.
• Must have pneumatic experience.
• Basic VFD knowledge.
• Basic PLC knowledge.
• Basic math/computer proficiency.
• Vacuum system knowledge.
• Ability to rebuild pumps, manifolds, and motors.
• HMI basics and comprehension.
• Basic welding skills. Tig is a plus.
• Liquid and powder transfer procedures.
• PVC Compounding systems knowledge.
• Extruder knowledge.
• Electrical distribution knowledge.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform routine activities throughout the facility to maintain production equipment and prevent downtime. Activities include preventive maintenance, daily equipment repairs, following up on work orders, and troubleshooting to identify equipment issues. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Apply technical knowledge to identify and contribute effective solutions to maintenance challenges.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on industrial equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Replace and install mechanical components such as motors, cutting blades, air cylinders, heaters, and blowers.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, and replacement of filters, fan belts, and related components.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Able to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.).
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
