Job summary

Luttrell Staffing Group is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Morristown, TN facility. This on-site, full-time role involves maintaining and repairing industrial machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation, with attention to preventive maintenance and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, experience with conveyors and motors, and the ability to read schematics and manuals.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial machinery, conveyors, motors and mechanical assemblies.
• Basic electrical/electronics troubleshooting and control panels.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, manuals and work orders.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to minimize downtime.
• Knowledge of safety practices including lockout/tagout and OSHA guidelines.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance logs/CMMS.
• Effective communication and collaboration with supervisors and maintenance team.
• Prior industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience preferred; related vocational training beneficial.

Role Description The Industrial Maintenance Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Morristown, TN. In this role, the technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, troubleshooting production line problems, and completing repairs or part replacements. The technician will follow maintenance schedules, document work performed, and collaborate with production and safety teams to minimize downtime and maintain quality standards. This role may also involve reading technical manuals and blueprints, adhering to safety procedures, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in the facility.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance skills, including experience with industrial machinery, conveyors, motors, and mechanical assemblies.
• Basic electrical and electronics skills, such as troubleshooting circuits, using diagnostic tools, and safely working with control panels.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals and work orders.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis and minimizing equipment downtime.
• Knowledge of safety practices, including lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA guidelines and safe use of tools and equipment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs, recordkeeping and using maintenance logs or CMMS software.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, production staff and other maintenance team members.
• Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance is strongly preferred; vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance, mechanics or a related field is beneficial.
• Ability to stand, lift, bend and work in industrial environments for extended periods, with reliable transportation to the Morristown, TN facility.
