Summary

The overall role of a Technician is to maintain the entire plant's electrical systems and install new electrical systems without supervision in order to improve the safety, productivity, and quality of the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Understand all Mechanical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Systems of the equipment that comprise its operation.
2. Read, edit, and create PLC Ladder Logic related to the operation & modification of production equipment.
3. Follow all safety procedures per Company Regulations and also State and Federal Regulations (NFPA70E, OSHA, etc.).
4. Maintain the entire plant's electrical systems and install new electrical systems independently.
5. Implement, upgrade, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install control systems to enhance safety, productivity, and quality.
6. Perform quality checks of the facility.
7. Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections of all control systems.
8. Maintain backup documentation for equipment settings within the facility.
9. Participate in creating and implementing training programs for maintenance employees or operators when new or updated control systems are introduced.
10. Work with vendors and consultants to troubleshoot and repair electrical and control-related issues.
11. Assist in maintaining stable inventory levels.
12. Gather information on new and existing equipment.
13. Communicate with operators to assist with solutions or repairs of electrical problems.
