Job summary

SKL'D is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a client manufacturing facility in Winder, GA. This role performs general maintenance, welding, fabrication, and electrical troubleshooting on plant machinery and equipment.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience.
• Welding skills across most materials.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and written instructions.
• Ability to use machine shop equipment (lathes, milling machines, band saws, oxy-acetylene torch, grinders, hand tools).
• Ability to use most measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Availability for Monday–Friday shift work and overtime as needed.
• Comfortable working in an environment with fumes, heat, cold, dust and noise.
• Experience diagnosing PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and instructions.
• Weld and fabricate as needed for repairs and fabrication.
• Support CI needs in fabrication.
• Use machine shop equipment including lathes, milling machines, band saws, torches, grinders, and hand tools.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues including PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels.
• Install and upgrade electrical components and wiring according to safety standards.
• Use measuring instruments to verify tolerances and specifications.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed.
• Assist CI Manager and Safety Manager with audits.
• Modify equipment, carts, tools, or other manufacturing items as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
