Job summary

Focus in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Dairy Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to repair and maintain mechanical, air, electrical and hydraulic systems across processing and material handling equipment. You will read blueprints, wiring diagrams and service manuals, using hand and power tools, welders, and precision instruments.

Applicants should handle hot and cold environments, work in wet/humid conditions, and perform tests after repairs to ensure proper operation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to arc and heli arc weld.
• Extensive experience with 3-phase wiring, electrical controls, programmable controllers.
• Experience with hydraulic systems and machine repair.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical, air, electrical and hydraulic components of processing and material handling equipment.
• Inspect machines to locate malfunctions and test operation after repair.
• Dismantle machines to access problem areas and replace worn parts.
• Align components, such as spindles and clutches, following diagrams and manuals.
• May modify computer-controlled functions on equipment.
