Job summary

Hiland Dairy is seeking an Industrial Maintenance worker for the 2nd shift in Kansas City, MO. The role involves preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment on a non-union, hourly basis.

You will read blueprints, inspect machinery, perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and lubrication tasks, and test operations after repairs. Shift includes some weekend work with days off during the week.

Qualifications

• One year experience in Industrial Maintenance setting or completion of post high school Industrial Maintenance program.
• Hours: Start times may vary; typically 8 hour shifts; overtime may be required.
• Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
• Must pass a drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical, air, electrical and hydraulic components on production equipment following blueprints and diagrams.
• Visually inspect machines to locate malfunctions and dismantle equipment as needed.
• Inspect and measure parts for wear or misalignment; replace worn parts.
• Realign and adjust components; locate and install new pipes.
• Test operations after repairs and perform brazing, soldering, welding as required.
• May modify computer-controlled functions on equipment.
