Job summary

MPW Industrial Services in Fairborn, Ohio is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. You’ll handle preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, inspections, and continuous improvement to keep production running smoothly.

You’ll work with plant leadership and contractors, maintain maintenance records, and follow safety policies while tackling 8–12 hour shifts and occasional travel between PPS facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and basic repair of mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and maintenance docs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for plant equipment and facility systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on industrial equipment and production systems.
• Inspect equipment, pumps, heaters, forklifts, compressors, and related systems.
• Coordinate outside contractors and vendor activities during servicing or repairs.
• Monitor maintenance spending and support cost-effective repair decisions.
• Clean, lubricate, calibrate, and adjust plant equipment and components.
• Complete scheduled safety inspections and leak tests per procedures.
• Maintain waste treatment systems and related equipment for compliance.
• Repair racks, fixtures, and general facility equipment as needed.
• Assist with electrical panel assessments and other maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot PLC-related issues and support performance improvements.
• Maintain organized parts inventories and replacement lists.
• Support maintenance across multiple PPS facilities as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and operational procedures.
