Job summary

Gruma Corporation in Indianapolis seeks an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in a food processing environment.

You will read engineering diagrams, perform preventive maintenance, and work with PLCs and VFDs, ensuring safety and GMP compliance. Shift flexibility including holidays/weekends is required, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 6 years industrial maintenance/electrical experience preferred.
• Experience in food/beverage processing or packaging environment preferred.
• Certification in Allen Bradley PLC programming or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain and troubleshoot AC/DC electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs per CPMS program.
• Read wiring diagrams and install complex electrical circuits.
• Dismantle, repair and reassemble machinery and gearboxes as needed.
• Train less experienced employees and support process improvements.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, and safety policies; participate in monthly meetings.
• Work various shifts, holidays, and weekends.
