Job summary

GRUMA in Indianapolis seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to install, inspect, and repair a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, interpret wiring diagrams, and troubleshoot complex systems to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, welding, and reading schematics, with a focus on safety and GMP standards in a food processing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 years of industrial maintenance/electrical experience preferred.
• Certification in Allen Bradley PLC programming or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, check, and troubleshoot all types of AC and DC electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Read and install complex electrical circuits from wiring diagrams.
• Perform preventive maintenance per CPMS program and complete work orders.
• Repair and reassemble gear boxes, fans, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Train less experienced employees and support safety and GMP compliance.
