Job summary

Carlisle Companies in Town of Montgomery, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, predictive and routine maintenance to keep equipment and buildings fully operational.

You will support production, troubleshoot electrical and PLC systems, operate shop tools, fabricate or weld as needed, and follow safety protocols (OSHA). This on-site role requires reading electrical drawings, using CMMS and SAP, and collaborating with plant personnel on projects and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret industrial documents and electrical drawings.
• Industrial mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to repair/rebuild industrial machinery such as motors, compressors, pumps, gear boxes, hydraulics, etc.
• Knowledge of CMMS, SAP, MS programs.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize hand tools (shop tools).
• Ability to fabricate/weld.
• Awareness of PLCs, low and high electrical voltage, and 24 VDC – 480 VAC.
• Inter-Personnel Skills – The ability to be a team player and share information.
• Understanding of OSHA and industrial safety protocols.
• Safety certifications
• Ability to operate mobile equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform needed maintenance on equipment and direct support of production operating needs.
• Evaluate equipment operation and suggest necessary action when malfunctions occur, or improvements are needed.
• Participate in planning activities and manage plant utilities (chiller, air compressor, security and fire protection).
• Complete process and preventive maintenance work orders; capture and communicate data.
• Maintain plant machinery and equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, controls).
• Troubleshoot issues and repair failures of production and facilities equipment.
• Assist with fabrication and modification of equipment.
• Comply with Carlisle and departmental policies and safety standards (PSM, COS).
• As directed, execute projects on an as-needed basis.
