Job summary

The Cooper Standard Spartanburg, SC manufacturing plant is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform safe repair and troubleshooting of maintenance equipment, including installation, preventive and routine maintenance, and decommissioning of machinery.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, electrical/hydraulic experience, and the ability to read prints, maintain records, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year college degree or technical training preferred.
• 2+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Electrical and hydraulic experience required.
• Experience with extrusion/injection equipment preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and CMMS software.
• Ability to read metric and imperial prints and manuals.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair and troubleshoot maintenance equipment safely.
• Install, perform preventive and routine maintenance, repair, and decommissioning of equipment.
• Coordinate with service contractors to complete projects.
• Maintain safety, 6S, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, NFPA, EPA).
• Manage parts, materials, and service records; keep manuals organized.
• Calibrate shop instruments and ensure proper tool inventories.
