Job summary

Cavco Industries in Hamlet, NC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform routine and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems.

You will operate scissor lifts and articulating booms up to 40 feet, use forklifts, and fabricate metal parts with welding tools while maintaining safety and quality across production areas.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate/GED; vocational/technical certificate preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two years in industrial maintenance; at least one year in manufacturing with mechanical/electrical maintenance exposure.
• Knowledge: Basic mechanical and/or electrical/electronic knowledge; metal fabrication, carpentry, plumbing a plus.
• Mental/Physical/Visual Demands: lifting up to 86 lbs; able to work with others and with limited supervision; safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
• Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and overhead crane systems.
• Operate scissor lifts/boom lifts up to 40 feet and forklifts.
• Fabricate metal structures or parts using welding and cutting tools.
• Ensure safety and proper housekeeping in the plant.
