Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Courses in mechanical drawing and blueprint reading are advantageous.
• Repair work experience is preferred.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test machinery using electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Listen for unusual sounds to detect malfunction and diagnose with supervisors.
• Dismantle defective machines and install parts per blueprints using precision tools.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
• May operate cutting torch or welding equipment to join metal parts.
• May fabricate counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
• Assess procedures and recommend improvements.
