Job summary

Spring Valley is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician at our Jackson, WI plant. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair across production equipment in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, fabricating parts, and coordinating external repairs while maintaining safety and cleanliness. This is a full-time on-site position with compelling benefits.

Qualifications

• Able to work under pressure and prioritize maintenance needs.
• Problem solving and organization skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience or knowledge in blueprint reading, schematics, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, engines, maintenance/repair of heavy equipment in an industrial environment.
• Ability to lift over 50lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 90 feet.
• Reliable transportation to get to work.
• Ability to pass a post-offer drug screening.
• Outstanding attendance and punctuality.
• PPE usage including safety toe boots, safety glasses, harnesses, respirator.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Plant Manager and Maintenance team to resolve maintenance and safety matters.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, hydraulics, conveyors, and production machines.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions by observing equipment in operation.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories; place and expedite orders.
• Schedule and coordinate outside companies to perform repairs.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment per procedures.
