Job summary

Spring Valley is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician at our Jackson, WI plant. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair across production equipment in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, fabricating parts, and coordinating external repairs while maintaining safety and cleanliness. This is a full-time on-site position with compelling benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience or knowledge in blueprint reading, schematics, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, engines, maintenance/repair of heavy equipment in an industrial environment.
• Ability to lift over 50lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 90 feet.
• Reliable transportation to get to work.
• Ability to pass a post-offer drug screening.
• Outstanding attendance and punctuality.
• PPE usage including safety toe boots, safety glasses, harnesses, respirator.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment per procedures.

With our numerous manufacturing and shipping locations throughout the country, we serve a wide variety of customer markets including distributors, co-ops, and retailers throughout the United States and internationally. Our company continues to grow and expand, which presents many new opportunities. Our Jackson, WI plant is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team!

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair of all Spring Valley equipment. This maintenance position is an industrial/production setting. This job description is not all inclusive and may change from time to time as deemed necessary by management.

Job Overview:

• Collaborate with Plant Manager, Maintenance Technicians & Safety Coordinator to ensure maintenance and safety related matters are resolved in a timely manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, hydraulics, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines such as hoppers, screeners, mixing machines, bag sealers, and scales.
• Troubleshooting malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation
• Fabricating repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Schedule and coordinate outside companies to perform repairs as needed
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly pay based on experience, overtime eligible
• Production efficiency bonuses in addition to hourly pay

• Have reliable transportation to get to and from work
