Job summary

Spring Valley's Jackson, WI plant is seeking a Maintenance Support Technician to assist our Maintenance department with basic mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair of all Spring Valley equipment. This industrial role offers training opportunities and a chance to grow in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Able to work under pressure and prioritize maintenance needs.
• Problem solving and organization skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to lift over 50lbs.
• Comfortable using ladders and working at heights up to 90 feet.
• Have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
• Ability to pass a post-offer drug screening and background check.
• Outstanding attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to wear PPE including but not limited to safety toe boots, safety glasses, harnesses, and dust mask or respirator.
• Previous experience, degree, or knowledge in blueprint reading, schematics, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, engines, maintenance/repair of heavy equipment/machines in an industrial environment is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, hydraulics, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.
• Placing and expediting parts and supply orders; verifying receipt.
• Schedule and coordinate outside companies to perform repairs as needed
• Collaborate with Plant Manager, Maintenance Technicians & Safety Coordinator to ensure maintenance and safety related matters are resolved in a timely manner.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
