Job summary

Fireclay Tile in Spokane, WA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to ensure reliability of our industrial equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair conveyors, presses, kilns, and automated systems, and execute precision machining and fabrication tasks.

This hourly role starts day shift 6:30am–3:00pm with possible overtime and weekend work. Candidates should have 2+ years of maintenance experience, be safety‑minded, and able to operate CMMS, read blueprints, and

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial equipment maintenance, repair and metal fabrication.
• Hands-on proficiency with machine shop tools (lathes, mills, broaches, hones) to bore, key, face and turn components.
• Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software).
• Thorough understanding of LOTO procedures.
• Proficient in MIG welding and general fabrication; TIG welding is a plus.
• Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus.
• Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform preventive maintenance (PMs).
• Diagnose and repair conveyors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, presses, kilns and automated systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and execute repairs.
• Perform machining tasks on shafts and components as required.
• Perform fabrication to support plant operations and repair work.
• Adhere to LOTO procedures during servicing.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) and maintain a safe workspace.
