Job summary

J.M. Huber Corporation seeks a Maintenance Technician for Active Minerals International at a Kaolin Clay facility in Aiken, SC. You will perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety while supporting plant goals.

The role requires four+ years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and CMMS proficiency. On-site work with rigorous safety standards and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of industrial maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment.
• Proficiency with CMMS and standard computer applications.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to complete assignments from planning through execution with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency, corrective, and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues and implement effective repairs.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Diagnose equipment failures, replace or repair components, test equipment functionality, and make operational adjustments as necessary.
• Identify and report equipment deficiencies, unsafe conditions, and unusual operating situations to management.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and document parts usage to support inventory control and replenishment activities.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems to manage work orders and maintenance activities.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Conduct workplace inspections and promptly address or report safety hazards. Ensure machine guarding and safety devices are properly installed following maintenance activities.
• Follow all applicable Quality Management System (QMS), ISO, safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to maintenance team members as needed.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
