Job summary

Garmin is seeking a full-time Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician 2 for the Greater Kansas City area. The role focuses on maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and conveyor systems in Manufacturing and Warehousing/Shipping within Operations.

The position runs a 4 Day Work Week from Saturday to Tuesday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and requires knowledge of conveyors, sensors, and industrial controls. A technical trade program or degree plus maintenance experience is expected.

Qualifications

Associate degree or 2+ years maintenance experience.
Experience with conveyor equipment, live rollers, belts, electric motors, sensors, pneumatic equipment and industrial controls.
Experience with automated assembly, testing, and conveying equipment.
Knowledge of Level 1 skills plus basic trouble shooting of mechanical/electrical machines and parts warehousing.

Responsibilities

Perform basic preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment and conveyors.
Apply industry standards to develop, implement, and document operational processes.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and support productivity.
Mentor less experienced Maintenance Technicians (Level 1).
Coordinate with Planning, Purchasing, Production and Process Engineering.
