Job summary

Sesco Cement is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Gibsonton, FL to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex industrial equipment for safe, productive operations.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, reading blueprints, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to improve reliability. Requires 2–4 years in maintenance and PLC knowledge; OSHA training is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) is required.
• Welding, fabrication and machining skills are a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals and equipment specs with accuracy.
• Proven safety record and efficient work habits in industrial settings.
• Capable of lifting heavy equipment and standing long hours in varied conditions.
• Familiarity with CMMS software is preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training is preferred.
• Leadership or mentoring experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery, electrical systems, hydraulics, conveyors, pumps and motors.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and PLC-based equipment to minimize downtime.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints and manuals accurately.
• Document maintenance activities and equipment performance precisely.
• Install and test new machinery and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and safety teams on improvements.
• Track equipment performance and suggest upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Follow OSHA regulations and maintain a safe workplace.
