Job summary

Steel and Metal Systems, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician at our Blackshear, GA plant. You will maintain metal manufacturing equipment and facilities, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, ensuring high uptime and safety.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and lubricate machinery, prepare maintenance reports, and coordinate preventive maintenance with management. Some welding and reading blueprints required.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical repair.
• Ability to read blueprints and repair manuals.
• Ability to perform some welding and use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment to identify needed repairs.
• Troubleshoot issues and determine repair steps.
• Repair machines quickly and efficiently.
• Plan repair work using blueprints or manuals.
• Perform welding as required for maintenance.
• Lubricate and maintain machines for optimal performance.
• Document work performed in reports.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance with supervisors.
• Assist with new machines and modifications.
• Other duties as assigned.
