Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a medical manufacturing facility in Minneapolis, MN. You will maintain and repair production equipment, focusing on hydraulic and mechanical presses, with strong troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime.

The role involves PMs, installing components, reading schematics, and collaborating with production staff. It requires at least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience and offers a stable daytime schedule with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to troubleshoot during breakdowns and restore operation quickly.
• Proficiency in electrical or mechanical troubleshooting, with independent diagnosis.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic and mechanical presses or similar machinery.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and general troubleshooting.
• Experience replacing motors, relays, sensors, bearings, gearboxes, and belts.
• Willingness to learn new systems and maintenance techniques.
• Exposure to HVAC systems preferred.
• PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic and mechanical presses.
• Replace motors, relays, sensors, bearings, gearboxes, and belts.
• Diagnose issues in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using schematics.
• Inspect equipment and take corrective action before failures occur.
• Document repairs, parts used, and work performed.
• Support equipment installs, upgrades, and modifications.
• Collaborate with production staff to prioritize maintenance.
• Respond to occasional weekend maintenance needs (one Saturday per month or less).
