Job summary

Sonoco is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Electrical Maintenance Technician in Jefferson, TX. The role focuses on reliability, proactive maintenance, and hands-on repair across multi-craft systems, including electrical, mechanical, and automation equipment.

You will analyze failures, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure safety and compliance while supporting continuous improvement in a high-volume plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 4+ years experience for IMRT Level I, up to 10+ years for Sr.
• Able to read mechanical/electrical/pneumatic schematics including PLC logic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, robotic/automation, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems.
• Install/maintain AC and DC drives/motors.
• Troubleshoot PLC programs and modify/write as needed.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance and root-cause analysis.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS.
