Job summary

Fortune Brands is seeking a dedicated maintenance technician in North Carolina to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment. You’ll work 12-hour shifts, perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, and ensure equipment reliability for continuous manufacturing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with a craft apprenticeship or training program. Safety adherence and ability to read schematics are essential to success.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED plus crafts training or apprenticeship.
Experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance in manufacturing.
Ability to read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

Perform basic plant maintenance, repair and installation tasks.
Repair and maintain machinery and electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and faulty operations.
Inspect, test and operate machinery prior to release to manufacturing.
Replace components, motors, belts, and tighten hardware as needed.
Use hand and power tools and electrical testing equipment.
Report unusual situations to supervision and follow safety guidelines.
