Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician B (Day Shift) to support production equipment reliability and safety in our Raleigh, NC facility. You will perform hands-on maintenance, diagnose issues, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.

The role emphasizes collaboration with maintenance and operations teams, training junior technicians, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong background in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Proven mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Safety-focused mindset with knowledge of LOTO and PPE requirements.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret schematics.
• Experience using CMMS or basic computer systems to document work.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment.
• Maintain mechanical systems including bearings, shafts, pulleys, belts, chains, motors, and gearboxes.
• Service conveyance systems, piping, and utilities (steam, air, water).
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable operation and reduced downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to execute work and drive improvements.
