Job summary

You will plan work from sketches or manuals, use a wide range of crafts, and collaborate with foremen, tradespeople and production staff. High school or better required; associates or technical training preferred. Ability to stay levelheaded in emergencies is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or better required.
• Associates degree or technical training preferred.
• Experience with industrial maintenance and broad craft knowledge.
• Ability to read sketches, blueprints, and manuals.
• Must remain calm and effective in emergencies.
• Willingness to cooperate with multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Moves, installs, adjusts & repairs machines & equipment, including guards and safety devices, using various trades as needed and with safety in mind.
• Maintains plant utilities and services (air, heat, water, electrical and hog systems) to minimize downtime and ensure energy supply for production.
• Responds to emergency calls to repair machines or equipment, including after-hours when required.
