Alter Trading Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for day shift in Green Bay, WI. The role includes repairing conveyors, changing motor boxes and bearings, and stick welding as part of basic repairs.

The position involves troubleshooting stationary and mobile equipment, with a day shift from 6:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturdays based on needs. Safety is emphasized with PPE usage.

Qualifications

• Welding (stick) and fabricating skills are required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30–50 pounds.
• 2-3 years preventative maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform work on conveyors, motor boxes and bearings.

Responsibilities

• Welds/repairs trailers, roll-off containers and lugger containers.
• Repairs shredder, conveyors and other machinery as needed.
• Assists the maintenance department with preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Operates equipment as needed.

Alter Trading Corporation Company, privately held company with several scrap metal processing facilities throughout the Midwest and Southern region, is searching for a Maintenance Mechanic on day shift at its Green Bay, WI. This position will be responsible for basic repairs such as performing work on conveyors, changing motor boxes, changing bearings and stick welding

Hours: Monday through Friday 6:30am - 4:00pm. Saturday possible based on operational needs.

Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic position will troubleshoot and repair both stationary and mobile equipment and assists with general maintenance needs.

Safety:
