Alter Trading in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for day shift. The role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing both stationary and mobile equipment, and supporting general maintenance.

Key tasks include welding/repairs on trailers and containers, fixing shredder and conveyors, assisting with preventative maintenance, operating equipment, and handling other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Welding (stick) and fabricating skills are required.

Alter Trading Corporation Company, privately held company with several scrap metal processing facilities throughout the Midwest and Southern region, is searching for a Maintenance Mechanic on day shift at its Green Bay, WI. This position will be responsible for basic repairs such as performing work on conveyors, changing motor boxes, changing bearings and stick welding

Hours:Monday through Friday 6:30am - 4:00pm. Saturday possible based on operational needs.

Summary:

• The Maintenance Mechanic position will troubleshoot and repair both stationary and mobile equipment and assists with general maintenance needs.

• Welds/repairs trailers, roll-off containers and lugger containers.
• Repairs shredder, conveyors and other machinery as needed.
• Assists the maintenance department with preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Operates equipment as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Safety:

Wears all necessary PPE when working in the yard. Follows company safety standards at all times.
