Job summary

Riviana Foods is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair machinery in a highly automated food manufacturing environment. You will ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently to support continuous production and quality standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing conveyors, mixers, and packaging lines, implementing preventive maintenance, and documenting all activities.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; vocational training is a plus.
• 2+ years in an automated industrial manufacturing facility, preferably in packaging or processing.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to read schematics and technical manuals; strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, troubleshooting and repairs on conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment.
• Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures to maintain production.
• Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment condition for compliance.
