Job summary

ConMet Plastics in Denton, TX seeks an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic & Material Flow Technician to own on-shift equipment reliability. You’ll troubleshoot assembly machinery, perform preventive maintenance, log work orders, and coordinate major repairs with leadership to keep production running.

In addition to equipment care, you’ll stage materials to work cells, unload finished goods, and support inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in maintenance, manufacturing, or mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Proficiency with maintenance software and PM logging.
• Forklift license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair assembly machinery and basic automation systems.
• Execute and log PMs using maintenance software; document work orders and completions.
• Respond rapidly to downtime, returning equipment to service safely and quickly.
• Spot recurring failures and drive corrective actions to prevent repeat issues.
• Partner with leadership to plan major repairs or bring in external resources.
• Deliver and stage materials to work cells to avoid interruptions.
• Remove finished goods and transport to designated locations.
• Maintain FIFO flow and help ensure basic inventory accuracy.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic & Material Flow TechnicianPicture your shift: you start by checking the preventive maintenance queue in our maintenance software, ensuring today’s top-priority equipment is ready to run. An alert comes in—an assembly fixture is down. You diagnose the issue, swap a sensor, verify the error-proofing, and record the repair. Between calls, you tidy the maintenance area, track spare parts, and coordinate a larger repair with leadership.
