100Hires, Inc. is seeking a hands-on maintenance and material-handling on the production floor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Denton, Texas. The role focuses on equipment uptime and efficient material flow to keep production running smoothly.

The position requires 5+ years in maintenance or mechanical troubleshooting, the ability to work independently, and forklift operation. A strong safety mindset and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities without supervision.
  • Forklift operation capability and safety awareness.
  • Basic understanding of tools, equipment, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary maintenance contact on the production floor and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Perform and track preventive maintenance (PMs) using maintenance software.
  • Document work orders, repairs and PM completion.
  • Respond quickly to downtime and restore equipment to running condition.
  • Identify repeat issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support error-proofing systems (poka-yoke, sensors, fixtures).
  • Coordinate with leadership on larger repairs and external support.
  • Maintain spare parts, tools, and maintenance areas.
  • Material handling: deliver and stage materials to work cells to prevent interruptions.
  • Remove finished goods and transport to designated areas.
  • Assist with loading/unloading trucks and inventory accuracy.

We're looking for a hands-on team member to support both equipment uptime and material flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary maintenance support on shift, while also assisting with material handling to keep production running smoothly.Maintenance (Primary Responsibility- 75%)Serve as the primary point of contact for all equipment issues on the production floorTroubleshoot and repair assembly equipment, fixtures, and basic automationPerform and track preventive maintenance (PMs) using maintenance softwareDocument work orders, repairs and PM completion using maintenance softwareRespond quickly to downtime and restore equipment to running conditionIdentify repeat issues and implement corrective actionsSupport and verify error-proofing systems (poka-yoke, sensors, fixtures, etc.)Coordinate with leadership on larger repairs or external support if neededMaintain spare parts, tools, and maintenance areasMaterial Handling (Secondary Responsibility- 25%)Deliver and stage materials to work cells to prevent production interruptionsRemove finished goods and transport to designated areasAssist with loading and unloading trucks as neededMaintain FIFO and basic inventory accuracyAssist with packaging, labeling, and container prep as neededPerform other duties as assigned in support of plant operations and business needsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED5+ years Experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or mechanical troubleshootingAbility to work independently and manage priorities without direct supervisionAbility to safely operate equipment such as forklift, motorized pallet jack, scissor lift, etc.Basic understanding of tools, equipment, and mechanical systemsAbility to recognize when to ask for assistance or advice and be able to take constructive feedback.Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlinesThis position description is designed to outline primary duties, qualifications, and job scope.
