Job summary

Freudenberg is seeking skilled maintenance technicians to perform routine and preventive maintenance, repair machines, and troubleshoot systems in a fast-paced plant environment in the United States. You will read technical drawings, interpret schematics, and ensure quick downtime recovery for production lines.

Opportunities include specialization in injection molding or automation, involving hydraulics, PLCs, robotics, and vision systems.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED; an associate degree is preferred.
Experience in mid to large production facilities with plastic injection molding, assembly, and/or automation repair.
Automation track requires PLC troubleshooting and mechatronic knowledge (electronics, mechanics, pneumatics).
Injection molding track requires knowledge of hydraulics, mold temperature controllers, and related equipment.
Strong troubleshooting, preventive maintenance experience, and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Excellent communication and ability to work independently on moderately complex tasks.
Must be able to lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights.

Responsibilities

Complete work orders related to machine repairs and perform routine preventive maintenance.
Identify potential system failures and ensure critical components are stocked to reduce downtime.
Conduct system testing and calibration.
Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Change over equipment to other products.
For Injection Molding: maintain molding machines, extrusion lines, and assembly lines.
For Automation: install, troubleshoot, and repair automation systems, robotic arms, PLCs, conveyors.
Other duties as assigned.
