Freudenberg Household Products LP (USA) in Aurora, IL is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine and preventive maintenance on injection molding, automation systems, and related equipment. You will read schematics, troubleshoot issues, and work with engineers to maximize uptime.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, plus experience in large production facilities with plastics, automation or injection molding.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in mid to large production facilities involving plastic injection molding, assembly, and/or automation repair.
• Automation: PLC troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Injection molding: knowledge of auxiliary equipment such as hydraulics and mold controls.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to quickly diagnose and resolve malfunctions.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and reading blueprints/schematics.
• Proficient English communication, both spoken and written.

Responsabilités

• Complete work orders related to machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Identify potential system failures and stock critical components to reduce downtime.
• Conduct system testing and calibration.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Change over on equipment to other products.
• Maintain injection molding machines, PET extrusion lines, and assembly lines when assigned to Injection Molding.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation systems and robotics; operate vision and electrical systems as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers and technicians; work independently on moderately complex tasks.
