Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic at our Albany, Oregon plant. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair high-speed equipment, and support plant production goals.

The role requires reading blueprints, handling heavy loads, and coordinating with shift teams and contractors. We operate 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-3-2 schedule (days and nights) with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or education equivalent required.
• 4+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Millwright, or similar role in an industrial setting preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in high-speed manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, install, dismantle and relocate equipment as needed.
• Read blueprints/schematics and estimate loads for lifting and transport.
• Maintain shop tools and perform housekeeping duties.
• Communicate information to the next shift and coordinate with contractors.
