Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the proper mechanical functioning of plant equipment and to troubleshoot electrical/electronic malfunctions. You will perform repairs, calibrate machinery, and keep accurate maintenance records in a production environment.

The role requires reading schematics and blueprints, knowledge of three-phase 480V systems, and at least 2 years of industrial experience. You must lift up to 80 lbs and work in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training welcome.
• At least 2 years of industrial electrical or mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements related to electrical and mechanical operations.
• Able to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Familiarity with three-phase 480-volt equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform climbing, bending, and manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair existing electrical and mechanical equipment in the production area.
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines.
• Operate mechanical tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare maintenance reports for management.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly drawings.
• Diagnose and test malfunctioning machinery and discuss issues with staff.
• Replace or repair faulty components and calibrate equipment per specs.
• Maintain stock of tools and electrical parts; weld and fabricate as needed.
