Job summary

Solenis LLC in Suffolk, VA seeks a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment in a chemical production environment. You will troubleshoot equipment, analyze failures, and implement improvements to boost reliability and yield.

The role requires a minimum of five years in an industrial plant, knowledge of millwright, machining, and/or pipefitting, and the ability to work a 3-on 3-off day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years maintenance experience in an industrial plant, preferably chemical operations.
• Knowledge of millwright work, machining, and/or pipefitting.
• Experience with drive train equipment (gears, bearings, belts).
• Rotating equipment alignment and rigging experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 55 pounds and work in PPE and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment including pumps, valves, scrubbers, agitators, fans, heat exchangers, and vessels.
• Perform testing, calibration, and repair of site process mechanical equipment.
• Recordkeeping in equipment databases and drawings to meet Solenis requirements.
• Follow safety policies, participate in waste management and environmental standards.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance and root-cause analyses.
