Job summary

Washington Mills is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for North Grafton, MA. The role involves monitoring, repairing, and maintaining abrasive, ceramic, and refractory processing equipment on a first shift (7:00am-3:00pm, Monday–Friday) with occasional Saturdays.

You will report to the Maintenance Foreman and Manager, and work to keep crushers, mills, kilns, and other machinery running safely and efficiently. A HS diploma or equivalent is required; trade schooling is a plus, with lifting ability up

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; trade schooling a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk/bend for most of the day.
Operate shop tools such as cutters, drill press, band saw, welding tools, etc.
Have access to a basic tool kit or be able to build one in the first weeks.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair defective components of crushers, graders, mills, kilns, cranes and other machinery.
Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on equipment on site.
Be responsible for overall equipment and vehicle performance.
Operate machine tools including drills, saws, welders, hand tools, and cutting tools.
Be available for on-call duty.
Perform other duties as assigned.
