Summary:

With limited guidance in a team environment, responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks of a semi‑complex scope and nature in areas such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, air conditioning, equipment, and production machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the removal, repair, or relocation of machine tools; assist in installing air and water lines, and align and adjust machines for production.
• Diagnose equipment defects and perform necessary repairs.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on hydraulic equipment, machine tools, plumbing, and related equipment.
• Relocate production machinery and parts, construct, install, maintain, repair, and overhaul test stands, fixtures, and hydraulic equipment.
• Set up and operate arc and acetylene welding equipment.
• Fabricate high-pressure tubing and hoses, and perform tube bending and piping for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
• Plan, layout, and construct additions, partitions, benches, shipping boxes, and other carpentry tasks.
• Coordinate purchase, inventory, delivery, and pickup of hazardous materials.
• Manage packaging, labeling, storing, and scheduling pickup of hazardous waste for disposal.

Job Requirements:

• At least three years of related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities.
• Familiarity with pump and valve overhaul procedures, especially aerospace equipment, may be required.
• Ability to work from blueprints and sketches.
• Required to possess necessary tools.
• Ability to operate carpentry, hand, and power tools.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, hydraulics, chemicals, and hazardous material handling may be required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Possession of forklift operator certification may be required.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
