Job description

Job Purpose:

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for safety and health of self and team working in the surrounding area. Participation in all safety activities is required. The role includes supporting and maintaining ISO 9001 activities and ensuring that required processes are followed. The Maintenance Mechanic will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform general fabrication and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. Responsibilities also include maintenance of facilities, grounds, and utility systems, working with management to maintain waste water and other facility systems, and ensuring compliance with environmental, government, city, and local regulations. The role involves implementing preventative maintenance programs on parts inventory, machinery, tools, and equipment. Maintenance and repair should be performed in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Support ISO 9001 compliance and safety protocols.
• Maintain facility, grounds, and utility systems.
• Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Operate and repair machinery, tools, and equipment per specifications.
• Perform general fabrication and installation tasks.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Skilled in mechanical, troubleshooting, and electrical tasks.
• Effective communication skills, with ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, diagrams, and regulations.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence, and communicate effectively with team members, customers, and vendors.
• Basic mathematical skills, including algebra and geometry.
• Proficient in computer software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to operate office machines and write routine emails and correspondence.
